I can justify spending money on a high end DAC and Amp for a desktop but not for a mobile.
DACs for desktops are not that expensive same with Amps. But mobiles are a meme, if you already own a smartphone except android DACs suck usually.

Why not use wireless headphones from some brand like Sennheiser? Audio is transmitted digitally via Bluetooth so only the DAC built into headphones matters and it should at least be decent.
I mean, it's a phone, it's meant to be used in noisy environment. I seriously doubt you'd appreciate audio quality improvement from using a separate DAC and headphones like HD600 🤷

I'd say you're screwed in this case even if there is no Bluetooth involved. Run! 😂
But yeah, I get it, it's another limitation. I'm using wired Sennheiser headphones with my phone, it has jack, no problem. I'm just theorizing on what I'd do if it didn't.

@newt Yup, same here. I still have my standalone CD player, and although I have an external soundcard too, I'd prefer my CD collection any day!

Damn, I always forget, in-ear headphones are an option, so noise is not a problem.
For me they never were though, just can't get myself comfortable with them, these things hurt! 😅 @nerdtronics@mstdn.starnix.network @splitshockvirus
