Please make your program, library and services work without needing a default config in `/etc`.

This allows us to have hermetic `/usr` for safe A/B upgrades without having to care about the programs defaults. We can then also reset to sane defaults more easily.

It also makes it easier on any system to spot what's actually different form system defaults.

Hi blog writers: You don’t have to attach a unique image for every blog post, and you *certainly* don’t need to use #AI to generate an image for every blog post. You may think AI-generated images make your posts more attractive, but you are mistaken; they are doing the opposite: they make your posts more *repulsive* to a good number of potential readers. If I see an AI-generated image in the preview, I won’t click through to read your post, and I certainly won’t read the rest of your blog.

I truly, genuinely hate what Apple is doing to the UX of its platforms. Beyond the ongoing decline of autocomplete, they’ve changed something about how buttons work on iOS so now I regularly trigger button presses when I try to scroll on both the iPad and iPhone.

(Don’t come at me with ‘but Android’. I’ve tried Android. In my experience, their UX is even worse.)

A good basic rule of thumb is that things that are involuntary (disabilities, deformities, natural appearance differences, illnesses, trauma effects ect) should never be the basis of an insult. Focus on the shit things people choose to do
