I’m really serious about this one btw. Companies have no measurable way of knowing what employees are doing with GenAI. They’re giving Claude Code out like it’s candy and just presuming everybody is an IT power user. They aren’t. They’re converting PDFs and vibe coding garden planning tools.
Copilot M365 has a fake dashboard showing how productive people are.. it has no actual data. It just shows people use it. It’s CIO porn for the CEO. Orgs are pissing money up a wall worldwide.

We're 75% funded, a week into a month long campaign!
Recovering After Gen AI book.
I have a solid Kickstarter track record that can be verified. Three previous book Kickstarters, funded and fulfilled. Two of them on time, one two months late. My previous book Technofascism Survival Guide was a Kickstarter "Project We Love!"
My books are 100% human researched and human written, the pre-2020 way.
Recovering After Gen AI is based on my thesis that Gen AI will end because the datacentres are physically unsustainable according to my cited MIT, UN, and Harvard Science Review research. Plus the conundrum of model collapse, and the financial bubble.
In the wake of Gen AI ending will be millions of people with immense psychological and cognitive problems due to delegating their thinking to the technofascist slop bot, and becoming emotionally attached under the illusion of sentience.
There will be further accelerated climate disaster.
A possibly greatly damaged power grid.
Immense waste in the form of billions of dollars worth of abandoned datacentres.
And an unimaginable amount of tech debt into the form of most software having tons of the worst bugs ever, way worse than human coded bugs. Software people use everyday becoming completely unusable.
Later this month, I will appear on Blueprints of Disruption, Stupid Sexy Privacy, and Pivot to AI. Which should boost my reach further.
Pitch in for as little as about $12 USD for an eBook!

@CTHW I'm not trying to prompt an AI to give me instructions, I just want to do a basic internet search and find a website where someone has actually done this and written about the potential pitfalls to look out for. I already know what my fascia is made of, I don't need a formulaic instruction to "gather my materials" with a list of Amazon referral links which are the reason the site was generated in the first place, to make the creator money not to actually impart useful information. I am not trying to prompt an AI to feed me some bullshit it's assembled with no understanding of context at enormous environmental cost, I am complaining that search engines are not the useful tool they used to be for these projects.
DOGE ended its mission with no public accounting of its actions.
For a project touted as radical accountability, the hypocrisy is staggering. We have zero clear answers on what it broke, what it changed, or what it saved.

In my career, I've met a lot of good coders who are bad at software. In fact, it's probably a majority. This is why I've been complaining for years about the state of software development. This is the type of software that is used to train the LLMs.
Yes, a lot of this code works and is useful. The problem is that it usually has maintenance and dependency problems. This means automating reuse will result in some really bad code.

@rhelune There were two major western techbrodouche empires involved in spreading Rohingya hatred in Myanmar. Facebook was one, but even Zuck the Fuck didn't go so far as that dead-eyed, dead-soulled psychopath that ran Twitter at the time: Jack Dorsey.
That dude went to Myanmar at the height of the genocidal crimes and meditated with the very fucking monks who were perpetrating the crimes!
Update no.2: after erasing and re-flashing my Heltec v3 as a Bluetooth companion I am now receiving messages again! 🥳
And I can see adverts from Piemonte - some 200+ km away. Sooo cool!
A message I sent to the public Channel this time had the label underneath "Heard 1 Repeat" (which I didn't get yesterday, after 3+ hours of experimentations).
My repeater on the balcony may be a lemon, but I'm operational again - I think 😅
> We are not here to discuss "open weight" models; these are still built on a foundation of companies destructively mining the web from data centers that wreck communities. Such models cannot exist without exploitation. When a model can be fully trained by end users using data that was collected with consent, then we can talk about that, but right now that is nothing but science fiction and speculation.
Go read Careless people. Just have in mind that it is triggering. It describes crimes against Rohingya people in Myanmar (of course, Facebook played a crucial role in the incitement of hatred), and sexual harassments in the company.
