Welp, as I warned, SCOTUS overturned Chevron. This was the holy grail for polluters, and all mega-wealthy conservative extremists. It will be used to gut almost every environmental, health and welfare regulation passed since the 1930s. It’s simply the biggest harm of the conservative age yet, but our complicit press fails to alert the public.

God damn it, I hate living in a world where I have to earn money to survive. There are so many things I want to do but can't/don't want to figure out how to monetize.
I've hit the end of my savings I've been living off of. Plus my car just broke down and I found out I won't get my tax return until September.
I've currently got two part time jobs but the hours aren't enough and are super inconsistent. For my gardening gig, my boss often cancels on me morning of. (I was supposed to work 3 days last week and ended up working none).
But, finding a job I can do that doesn't rot my brain feels near impossible.
I just wish I could spend my life doing things that I felt mattered without worrying about rent or groceries

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson has done the nation a service by writing a dissent that explains today’s #Trump #Immunity decision in extremely accessible terms. I’ve posted her dissent by itself, here drive.google.com/file/d/1ryZF_. Please read and share widely, online and off. #LawFedi

Trump ran by far the most corrupt presidency in American history. He -- and the people he appointed to federal jobs -- used their offices to enrich themselves and abuse their powers in countless ways.

(Our feckless press never even tried to explain how broad and deep the corruption ran.)

Now, with immunity, it's almost unimaginable what a new Trump world in Washington (and beyond) would do.

Imagine the absolute worst, and expand on that. You'll be close.

Hi folks,

We're having server troubles at the moment 🔥

Our team of anarchist bog people are busy fixing things but expect some downtime for the time being.

We released the Librem 5 hardware layouts under GPLv3 (as original PADS and converted KiCad projects), joining the schematics that were already available from the start!

It’s starting to feel like Threads isn’t integrating ActivtyPub in good faith. Besides no new fediverse features in many months, now they’re popping up this message up which will likely discourage many users from keeping it on. And if they’re influencing people to turn it off, they could then say the data suggests people aren’t interested in the feature.

The Internet Archive is hiring a Director of Platform Engineering. In my opinion, this is the most crucial and important position we have had open at the company in some time. The right person in this position is not just helpful, but a make or break key between success and merely acceptable levels of technological advance for the archive. It's a non-profit level of pay but the work is world changing.

Whaddya think folks, are we about ready to get a good look at the brick wall? Or maybe we're already seeing it....

We're quickly coming up on Matariki, the Māori New Year which this year falls on July 28. It's a great time to teach about Māori culture with Whale Rider, the award-wining film about a Māori girl who challenges tradition to fulfill her destiny. Make it a film-book pairing with the book the film was based on, The Whale Rider by Witi Ihimaera.

Our classroom-ready lesson plans for teaching with Whale Rider cover subjects across the curriculum, including a mathematics lesson on counting the uncountable, and a science lesson on whales and echolocation.
