Those of us born in the ‘60s have witnessed this Tory broken record repeat itself with devastating regularity over the years.

Trickle down just doesn’t work. Never has, never will — all it does is devastate industry and wreck communities:

Realization: the main utility of blockchain tech is that it presents an irrefutable argument for a wealth tax. If there’s enough bored money rattling around out there to fund obviously negative-sum nonsense like this, we can as a society choose to spend that money on public education, health care and clean running water instead.

This makes me very angry: rnz.co.nz/news/national/474816 another example foreign corporations running roughshod over foreign lands and regulation and not taking responsibility for the horrible mess they've created.

I will be livid if either a single cent of taxpayer money is spent to clean this up completely - it's on Rio Tinto, as majority owner and majority profiteer, or if they get away with anything less than a complete clean up.

What would you give up to defend ?

Would any capitalists reply to that with an answer other than, "nothing"? Probably not.

Would any in the armed services be all gung-ho about defending capitalism rather than freedom (which is really what they are doing)?

TechRights is reporting that Mozilla is hiring managers from the CIA. Firefox is looking sketchier. I think I'll move toward Gnu IceCat more. TechRights was stating they moved to LibreWolf, which I haven't tried. I also use Gnome Web some. Once I get rid of my Android phone, when my Librem 5 arrives, I'll probably settle into one main browser. Of course outside factors will impose their own requirements. e.g., financial and medical software needs.
