Windows users deserve what they get. That's why I never use my work computer (fucking brain-dead Windows-using company) for personal use.

One of the major issues with Windows use in companies is that the PCs have to be so locked down that the knowledge work employees are often driven to try to find ways around the security to get their jobs done. This eventually becomes another threat vector (named, "Windows", of course).

By 5 PM today, OpenVPN setup on my Pioneer Freedom is will have been running at least 48 hours. From the Freedom is forums, someone stated his took, "about 2 days".

At what point does one pull the plug? Maybe three days will be too long...

Got on my work computer (fucking Windows 10) this morning, and I noticed that the fonts in some of the applications (not all) were messed up (really pixelated and faint looking). This kicked off a couple of hours in web searching. (Did you know that fucking Microsoft made it so you fucking have to change the fucking registry to change the fucking system font?)

Finally somehow arrived at "Adjust Clear type text", which is of course WTF? This goes through a virtual eye exam.

When the US @HHSGov stripped @CDCgov of its control over infectious disease data about patients, it announced plans to collect, use, share, and store much more personal data than CDC ever had. We filed comments in opposition. eff.org/deeplinks/2020/08/no-e
