Snap, Flatpak, AppImage, etc - are all attempts to make Linux more palatable to either proprietary software, or to software with reckless runaway complexity. Personally, I want neither, and will give no quarter to "solutions" for their "problems".

Well, that was fast!

At least until such time as I need to get a "real job," I'm pleased to announce that I will be spending 50% of my time working for the Libre-SOC project, working on Libre-licensed open hardware designs.

This will be my first exposure to "real-world" semiconductor logic design, and I'm happy that I'm being afforded the opportunity.

With any luck, this will turn into a paying gig which can help support me and my family.

Be OK with failure. It sucks and makes us feel all types of ways. Through those emotions there is ALWAYS wisdom if you choose to find it. Failure and facing it can be a helpful tool to success.
