@lightweight Article kind of fumbles OS/2 technical portions, but still a good read. OS/2 was almost completely rewritten after the MS and IBM joint development ended, and Windows 95 would have never happened if the IBM OS/2 hadn't been gaining market share in the mid to late 90s.

Performance review time is where weak managers want you to write your own reasons for why you're employed. "Another year of doing my job." for some reason doesn't seem sufficient justification. You have to have accomplishments, as if you really had autonomy, might be able to get paid more than average wages, or the company actually had non-management promotion paths. #notreality
