How do you get US liberals to support far-right candidates attempting overthrowing democratic elections? Easy, just make sure it's all happening in South America and most US libs will go right along. Personally, I think it's mostly due to left over brain-rot from Cold War propaganda. Wild to see how people who think Jan. 6th was a travesty and put DJT on par with Satan himself, can be made to support the south-of-the-border version of the same politics.

@dynamic Agreed. Our society maintains and reinforces very abusive dynamics with relation to jobs and careers.

Building up social safety nets to be meaningfully supportive would go a long way towards dismantling these abusive systems, but it would also negate a lot of power the rich have over our society, which they also have a vested interest in maintaining.

A lot of these abusive systems are deeply tied together.
