Trying my hand at tweed. #weaving
This scarf took me about a day to make. I tied on the warp yesterday evening before dinner, worked on it for a few hours yesterday night, a few more this morning, and then another hour or two this afternoon to finish it off.
@kyle light plays with fibers in some really cool ways. One of my cowls looks completely different inside under tungsten vs outside. It’s not even a funky dyed yarn either, just some undyed alpaca.
It looks really nice! What is the material?
@kop316 100% Merino wool, fingering weight, in black, dark grey, and golden yellow.
@kyle looks like scarves zoom off the loom! Very cool. Something like that would take me at least two weeks to knit if I had the time to attack it a few hours a day.
@kyle Houndstooth is -extra- fun and easy as a pattern if you're looking for ideas
@wobin I think my next new technique will be Krokbragd.
The dark grey stands out much better in natural light.
