An extra example of the pattern of "ban women as soon as they look like they might seize the spotlight from men": baseball pitcher Jackie Mitchell, who at age seventeen struck out Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig in succession. She was quickly rewarded for this feat by being banned from baseball on the grounds that the game was "too strenuous" for women.

"Google disables tens of millions of Google accounts every year, as stated in a Dutch Tweakers article by Google Communications Manager in the Netherlands, without warning, giving the recipient a reason why, or providing a way to get it back."
Hey, so this is super cool.
Google has been collecting call and messaging data about who you talk to or send text messages to for years. There's no opt-out, no notifcation in their TOS they're doing this, and you can't see the results of that collection in Google Takeout.

The wonderful #XMPP-client #dino now supports audio/video calls between two or more people! Especially now many of us are stuck at home, we need a way to collaborate & socialize in a privacy-friendly way. Dino uses the XMPP-protocol for decentralized communication and with an intuitive user interface, helps you reach out to friends, family and co-workers, both for larger groups with a server in the middle as well as private groups directly peer-to-peer -> https://dino.im/blog/2022/02/dino-0.3-release/
