This opt-in requirement is critical, and the precise thing tech orgs successfully lobbied to remove from the CCPA:
"As a first step, governments must enact laws to ensure companies including Google and Facebook are prevented from making access to their service conditional on individuals “consenting” to the collection, processing or sharing of their personal data for marketing or advertising."

@franciecashman@mastodon.social @dansup even on big screens, 2 column allows more focus on the images, which are the point, aren't they?
My vote is for 2 column.
Made a video of desktop apps running in #plasmamobile on #postmarketOS on the #pinephone
Oh hey, the BraveHeart #PinePhone is now available to preorder! Go get one! https://store.pine64.org/?product=pinephone-braveheart-limited-edition-linux-smartphone-for-early-adaptor
@netnut404 @purism ordered on 2017-09-15 and when responding to the batch email asked for Aspen, Birch, Chestnut. Getting an "Evergreen" response is disappointing. Hope to actually get a phone eventually...
@dthompson the ratio of words you write and those I understand without looking them up has changed significantly in your past few toots.
daikon radish quick pickle sunchoke harvest crunchwrap supreme kotaku death stranding persona royale catherine full body
@dansup "Unknown Artist"? That's the classic b richmond. Follow up with the fight with Coke:
@dthompson there should be a word for that. Or maybe there already is...
@dansup surprisingly engaging
@martijnbraam just wait until that's followed by 1.4.4-actual
The #Librem5 and the #PinePhone are two very similar, yet very different Linux smartphones. What makes them so different, and which one should you buy?
We wrote an in-depth comparison article that will hopefully help you choose one:

@cjd or wait, doesn't Chromebook support Android apps directly now?
@cjd that's dedication to the Chromebook cause. Any reason you don't just use Crouton and get the GNU/Linux versions of these things?
@switchingsocial@mastodon.at @masterofthetiger@theres.life I'm using it on a Galaxy S7. As you said, it's likely the least bad option for nontechnical folks. The main proprietary parts I've noticed so far are the Maps application (actually "Magic Earth") and the "Apps" version of the app store that includes and promotes proprietary applications by default.
That said, there is no better shipping option that I've found. Once the LibreM 5 or the PinePhone are released that might change
