are you serious right now that #Android has no built-in way to permanently block bluetooth pairing requests from a device? Signed, guy whose receipt printer is now connected by USB but still tries to pair with every device including the one it's already connected to

Learned a lot of great things at #FOSSY
First and foremost, us #fediverse folks NEED to have a Fediverse primer for a session. Fossy is more focused on general FOSS and a LOT of folks there didn't know what the Fediverse was or how to use it. Hoping to start work on a "The Fediverse Is..." presentation that I can hopefully give next year.
The amazing @benpate@mastodon.social suggested us having a Fedi related booth. We can help folks onboard with QR codes, answer questions, have starter packs, etc.
And thank you to @karen@floss.social for excellent advice on presenting and speaking.
It was an incredible time and I recommend everyone go next year and donate to sfconservancy.org/sustainer/
Not certain if I can go next year yet, but I'll remain hopeful.
