@bkuhn I tricked myself into remembering this by telling myself that I can create multiple links to one source, and so of course the new names have to be last because you can have as many of them as you want. Which of course you can't, but don't tell me that, because it works and I never need to do that anyway.

@penaddict As a former high school and college debater, I think your listener question was probably talking about actually flipping the pens -- as in, spinning them around thumb and fingers. Very common thing among debaters (at least Back in the Day) -- skill at that was almost as important as winning the debates! And some pens much more balanced for it than others.

@Anke Definitely! And the way I use them involves flipping back and forth between pages while writing, so there is great potential for smearage normally.
The latest Field Notes ("Lucky") work pretty well with #fountainpens. Not the best for showing ink properties of course, but that's because it soaks in immediately and without feathering or noticeable show-through. And that's great, because it means 0 problems with smearing. I've been using a LAMY 2000 F with Diamine Velvet Emerald and now Teranishi Smoky Navy. Line width is a bit inflated but still clean.

@penaddict Tom's Studio Pocket Fountain Pen might be another for the list. Still not cheap, and doesn't uncap as fast as a Prera, but no threads, durable, and has fun nib options and a fuller size nib.

FediCon 2026 will be part of FOSSY.
We are still trying to figure out the exact days for FediCon @ FOSSY. But, it will be 2 of the days between August 6th and 9th.
We are also planning to do a joint session between FediCon @ FOSSY in Vancouver with the Fediverse & Social Web track at COSCUP in Taiwan.
All these news headlines about Amazon removing "support" for older Kindles. That's very pro-Amazon framing. I don't think they have been providing any active "support" for these devices? Why not, "Amazon blocks access from older Kindles" etc. #rugpull
