@ Instituo Superior Técnico, Lisbon, Tiago Policarpo is giving a quick introduction to #Debian Sid #FreeSoftware
Celebration time: All #Lomiri packages we need for #Debian 12 have landed in Debian unstable. Now we'll need to make sure that all pkgs migrate to Debian testing. Then comes the fine-polishing and then Debian will have a new Operating Environment highly suitable for touch based devices such as tablets and phones. Cudos to all the developers and contributors over at the #UBports Foundation.
#Lomiri on debian is now fully my daily driver 🥰 it's coming together and it's finally in the official archive, but some minor changes needed to get this stability

Had an amazing time at FOSDEM'23! So many interesting conversations with people I only/mostly knew from the Internet and also with people I didn't know before! So much fun hanging out with people from all kinds of projects at the stand / devroom and restaruants!
Here's my talk, a quick recap of the on-device installer that @postmarketOS and @mobian use, and what's next: "ondev2 - Distro-Independent Installer for Linux Mobile"
Hurraaaah! Finally, after almost a year of using my #PinePhone I did a recent upgrade and found that I could import my contacts exported in .vcf. Since I had **2,555** contacts on my previous phone, this is a much needed feature for me.
Thank you so much @jsparber @nielsdg @aday and the other folks who work on Contacts for GNOME.
17 phones running mainline Linux at the mobile linux dinner after FOSDEM today, including 3 Librem 5s, a @PINE64 PinePhone and PinePhone Pro, and 3 @shiftphones SHIFT6mqs. All running @postmarketOS and @mobian. This conference and getting to meet everyone was so much fun and I'm so proud to have gotten to work on some of what's on this table!
I was a volunteer at #FOSDEM for the first time this year and it was a really amazing experience. The way it was organized was fascinating. Definitely looking forward to doing it again next year.
The beauty and diversity of the #LinuxOnMobile bazaar!
We had a great chat with the @ubuntu and @ubports teams at #FOSDEM today.
Special shout-outs to Thunderbird Council member Philipp Kewisch (far right) and @ahoneybun (second from right) of @system76!
Thanks for spreading the knowledge, guys.
@craftyguy The Linux on Mobile stand was so packed I couldn't even get close haha, I will try again tomorrow if you're still around.
