@realcaseyrollins
If you are talking about the cars driving themselves, it actually works surprisingly well. Scarily so.
@jeremydboreing @twitter @mattwalshblog
No matter your political leanings, this is why you don't use the same password across services.
You may be aware that @mattwalshblog had his @twitter account hacked last night.
What you may not know is that the attack went well beyond Twitter.
The hackers have managed to gain access to, well, everything, including twenty years of Matt's emails.
@nicksortor
Why don't we have bomb control laws?!!!!
@indie1337@vivaldi.net
My first smartphone was the #pinephone before that all I had were android or iOS devices.
@tazz602
I laughed harder than I probably should have!
@kyle
That is a tremendous loss to Purism. They have a lot of good people, so I am sure that they will survive, but I also know that you did a lot of good work there.
@PublicLewdness @Linux_in_a_Bit
They do not have it in their repository, which is not something that I have a problem with. It is their repository, they can have what they want. I added a repository so that I could install it. The "error" that it gave me was that it could be used to install non-free software.
@Linux_in_a_Bit
This is actually the main reason that I stopped using the fsf endorsed Trisquel linux. It would not allow me to install python because python could be used to install closed source software. It didn't matter that it could also be used to install open source software which I wanted.
It's my computer, I will install what I want. Them deciding that I can't makes them as bad as Microsoft.
@feditips
I know that it is a different setup than most, but the librem server that I am on has DM's disabled. I don't know if you get a rejection message or if the message goes out to nowhere land. Something to keep in mind if you DM somebody and they don't respond.
@lcruggeri @realcaseyrollins @RustyCrab @i
It seems like a bit of a cheat to say, we are just as good if you disable all of the bloatware temporarily, even though we will just turn it back on when you are actually using the machine.
@lcruggeri @realcaseyrollins @RustyCrab @i
Back to @realcaseyrollins 's question, I get disabling things so that the test compares things with similar programs running, but wouldn't a better test be fresh installs with nothing disabled? Especially not disabling things that can't be permanently disasbled?
@drloupis Pronouns are virtue-signaling, so inevitably, as with all virtue-signaling, they will be used as a shield by bad humans
@feditips
Or that they don't know that is a feature of mastodon. I have been on here for four years and did not know that.
The US federal govt has just begun implementing a centralized digital currency project (CBDC) to bring about a cashless society where every transaction we make is tracked, monitored, and controlled, thus undermining our autonomy and freedom. To protect our freedom, we must all stand together in rejecting this effort to institute a digital cashless society.
I had a chance to test the battery life on my #librem5 today. I went on a kayak trip and purposefully left the librem in the car unplugged. At 11:30 when I left, it was at 100%. At 5:30, when I returned, it was at 66%.
Battery life is no where near an android phone, but it is definitely improving quite a bit.
@hamblingreen
I am not sure the PPP is the way to go. Sound quality, in my experience was significantly worse than the OG Pinephone.
@indie1337 @freemo Very true...definitely not happy with where the #USA has gone in this regard...I should probably spread the Gospel more than I do now tbh
The future of opportunities for girls and women is in the balance. That's why @riley_gaines_ won't let the loud, attacking minority win. Here's the story of what really happened at SFSU and hear her call out hypocrite @mpinoe. #RileyGaines
