However, it seems fairly hypocritical, to live such an extravagant lifestyle with such a large carbon footprint, if you expect people to believe that you think global warming is actually a real thing.
With that said, what have you done specifically in your life to reduce your carbon emissions? Are you living the life that you expect others to live?

@yang
President Obama said that climate change was real and tried to push policies to combat it. Now that he is out of office, he has purchased a fifteen million dollar home on the coast (which is supposed to be flooded in twelve years).
Al Gore made a movie about climate change. Al Gore owns several multi-million dollar homes.
Bernie Sanders also pushes climate change. Bernie Sanders also owns several large homes.

I'm not against rich people owning multiple large homes.

If "the patriarchy" is delt a blow by the split up of a couple of spoiled millennials, then it really wasn't something that anybody needed to worry about anyway.

@lunduke
That's what you get for wading into the extremely controversial topic of program naming.

Also, speaking as someone on the right, paranoid distrust of even well documented stories has been earned. We have been lied to often enough, it would be crazy not to be distrustful.

If you truly are concerned with automation killing jobs, stop raising the minimum wage so high that it makes it cheaper for companies to automate.

@PepeMemes @p @yang
No, it will not be necessary; it will be detrimental. Over the years, there have been many industries come and go due to new technologies.
Currently, we are living in the most automated time of human existence and yet, here in the US, unemployment is at record lows.
Paying people to sit at home and play video games will do nothing but hurt America.

Climate alarmism may be an existential threat, but the climate has been changing ever since there has been a climate. It will continue to change no matter how much liberals decide to raise taxes against it.

@yang
Definitely not part of the yang gang, but I definitely support this.

@yang
Absolutely none. Instead of giving money out so that government can pick the winners and losers, we should stop spending so much and let taxpayers keep their money.
As for big tech, they should be held responsible for their actions. They are no longer open public squares, they should not be given the legal protections of them.

@yang
This is a bit of a tough one. My general rule on drugs is that if you can be held responsible for your actions while under the influence, then they should be legal. If the excuse, "I didn't know what I was doing because I was high" can be used, then it should be illegal. Responsibility has to go hand in hand with legality.
Also, I don't want to have to pay for the healthcare of drug addicts. Destroy your mind and body if you want. Live with the consequences.

@yang
Though I imagine our solutions would differ. Mine would not include giving out any tax payer dollars to buy people's loyalty and votes.
