If you truly are concerned with automation killing jobs, stop raising the minimum wage so high that it makes it cheaper for companies to automate.

@PepeMemes @p @yang
No, it will not be necessary; it will be detrimental. Over the years, there have been many industries come and go due to new technologies.
Currently, we are living in the most automated time of human existence and yet, here in the US, unemployment is at record lows.
Paying people to sit at home and play video games will do nothing but hurt America.

August 2019 Update puri.sm/posts/librem-5-august- final push before the imminent launch, polishing the most critical apps: calls, messages, web browser, shell and Initial Setup, Contacts and Settings for mobile

Climate alarmism may be an existential threat, but the climate has been changing ever since there has been a climate. It will continue to change no matter how much liberals decide to raise taxes against it.

@yang
Definitely not part of the yang gang, but I definitely support this.

@yang
Absolutely none. Instead of giving money out so that government can pick the winners and losers, we should stop spending so much and let taxpayers keep their money.
As for big tech, they should be held responsible for their actions. They are no longer open public squares, they should not be given the legal protections of them.

@yang
This is a bit of a tough one. My general rule on drugs is that if you can be held responsible for your actions while under the influence, then they should be legal. If the excuse, "I didn't know what I was doing because I was high" can be used, then it should be illegal. Responsibility has to go hand in hand with legality.
Also, I don't want to have to pay for the healthcare of drug addicts. Destroy your mind and body if you want. Live with the consequences.

@yang
Though I imagine our solutions would differ. Mine would not include giving out any tax payer dollars to buy people's loyalty and votes.

In actuality, Trump was quoting a guy that said that Jewish people loved Trump like he is the king of Israel. He did not claim to be the King. He didn't even claim to be 1/1024th King.

Two weeks ago today, I called a doctor because of a spot that had started growing.
Thanks in part to a cancellation, they were able to get me in that Thursday.
They cut off a piece for a biopsy then called me with the results a week later.
Pre-cancerous something.
We scheduled a visit for today. The spot had reduced in size because my body began healing when she cut it. She administered a freezing treatment and said I was good.

Would people please stop trying to"fix" or healthcare system?!

@yang
NO. When you are putting a dollar in someone else's hand, that is a dollar that you took from somebody else. If you feel that giving your own money away is worthwhile, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that and I salute you for it. But stealing from one group to give to another is wrong.
