When I'm not lazy I will file a bug about the fact that my display name's flags become question marks in the link text when another Friendican @ me:

@clacke Looks like pretty normal unicode problem. Instances use different character encodings and I guess ActivityPub doesn't specify encoding.

@clacke I'm just too lazy to setup two Frendica instances, one with UTF-8 locale and the other with UTF-16 locale.

@clacke Also, I just realized that probably can't be the problem. More likely the other instance uses version of Unicode that doesn't have those flags.

@jautero Yeah, somehow Friendica cares a little bit too much about the text instead of just sending the code points along.
