@cybette yes there is and that's real good all OS communities on pinephone all collaborate and help each other

@Blort @linmob @PINE64 distros have to write in suppprt for thr extra ram they the distros are doing that now i too wonder how much better it will be than my 2GB ram ubports edition

@cybette yeah honestly I feel the sailfishOS community will become the Pine community and experiment with other mobile linux distros the hardware price plus they are on the ball and real transparent plus they don't cater to corporate only community activities sadly it's why I bought a pinephone too looking for a new mobile distro home

@linmob @hrodnand @purism and correct the current pinephone being sold the pmos version ships with phosh on it so even if they never released a phone and they deff will I preordered a LIbrem 5 so even if they never did put out a phone the work they do on phosh and stuff is commendable and many projects benefit from said work such as postmarketOS Mobian etc etc

@hrodnand @linmob @purism I agree it shouldnt be a us vs them mentality I too see a toxic environment where people hate purism I feel both companies are working to advance mobile linux and both are helping more and more people get off Android and or iOS no matter what phone u choose the FOSS community wins.

@Joachim_Rees@mastodon.technology @jalcine https://www.pine64.org/2020/08/31/pinephone-manjaro-community-edition/ that's when the next batch comes out they make the phone in batches of a certain amount loaded with a partners OS on it then there is usually 3 weeks inbetween batches and a diff batch comes with a different OS so your just catching them inbetween batches batches sell fast so come mid Sept when next batch goes up for sale u have to act fast as they sell out real quick that's basically how it all works,
