What do you know or think about surveillance risk with Lenovo computers considering it is made and manufactured by a Chinese company? Eg with some firmware, hidden firmware/software, BIOS and so on? #privacy #security #surveillance

Thanks for your response. Regarding alternative BIOS/UEFI, I have not tried those myself but tempted to give a try one day.
@hehemrin Other than Intel Management Engine, there isn't much that I'm aware of. If you're keen on replacing the BIOS/UEFI firmware, many ThinkPad models are popular with Coreboot or LibreBoot.
