issues i'd never thought i have to deal with: we used some dip switches that have two markings: 1 and ON. that's already confusing for computer people because in their mind, "1" also means "on" (binary on/active/high). now we have a new batch of keyboards where these got mounted upside down. people read the ON as NO. so they think it's 1 (on) and NO (off). everything goes wrong. i'm so tired and need to sleep. sirens in the distance

Mission accomplished - the Sentinel-5A satellite is now safely in orbit!

It will now undergo calibration before starting its work for us: scanning and analysing the composition of the air we breathe.

Thanks to Sentinel-5A and other European Copernicus satellites, we will have more accurate pollution alerts to protect the most vulnerable, and improved aerosol forecasts for solar energy providers.

Thanks to Russian murderers: Sofiia, Mykyta, and their 2-year-old son—all just 23 years old—were killed by a Russian strike on Kyiv on July 31. They had fled Sloviansk at the start of the full-scale war, rented an apartment in the capital, and were killed when a Russian missile hit their building. Their bodies were found under the rubble a day later. Sofiia was pregnant with their second child.
