You remember #Apple scanning all images on your #mobile device?

If you have an #Android #phone, a new app that doesn't appear in your menu has been automatically and silently installed (or soon will be) by #Google. It is called #AndroidSystemSafetyCore and does exactly the same - scan all images on your device as well as all incoming ones (via messaging). The new spin is that it does so "to protect your #privacy".

You can uninstall this app safely via System -> Apps.

Gallery App furilabs.com/gallery-app/

We built a gallery app for FuriOS. It is a much requested addition to the FuriOS ecosystem and although it has a small amount of rough edges, it is very much usable.

Its a bit sad that Linux has only two useful email clients:
1. Thunderbird that looks like it was designed in the 1990s
2. Geary which has an awesome and adaptive design but is terribly unstable

Less than eight months ago @beacondb started their repository.

#beaconDB is a public domain wireless #geolocation database. It was started because Mozilla stopped their location services.

In the months since the beginning the community collected more than:

18,944,124 networks
610,632 beacons
992,115 towers
in 151 countries

This shows the power of a collaborative #community and #opensource.

A while ago I did a short thread on "expats", "economic migrants" and immigration:

I said:

> [Anti-immigration rhetoric is] not about making refugees not come. It's about making sure they never get the protections the local labor force already has.

> Because then they become super cheap labor. And a way to dismantle labor protections for everyone!

The problem for Musk with hiring Americans isn't that they're under-qualified, it's that they cannot be easily exploited.

Tested and used the Jolla C2 and its a great designed phone with long battery life, but similar to Sailfish Phones i used more than 6 years ago it is still suffering from:

1. doesnt reliably connect mobile data 4G
2. sim and mobile data connection disappears, crashes, restarting network subsystem does not help
3. does not connect to Open VPN at all, doesnt prompt for username and password and doesnt use password.conf/txt file either

Open vpn and mobile data are a weak spot. Apps, battery, ui +
