Germany’s state of Hesse will award President Volodymyr Zelensky its highest honor, the Wilhelm Leuschner Medal. Minister-President Boris Rhein said the award also recognizes the Ukrainian people for defending their sovereignty, democracy and European values against Russia’s war. Rhein praised Zelensky’s “unprecedented commitment” and said the award is a strong expression of Hesse’s continued support for Ukraine. The ceremony is set for December 1. #Ukraine

In #Munich, you might see this weird machine, making weird vibration and sound sweeps. This is part of the Giga-M project. Its goal is to create a 3D map of the underground that will be made available as #OpenData to assist in planning geothermic plants. Switching away from fossil fuel for heating. Impressive!

1️⃣️2️⃣️3️⃣️4️⃣️. By popular demand Phosh can now automatically submit the unlock PIN, so you can skip the submit button. The length is stored in systemd-homed's user record and can be updated it via phosh-pin-tool until the GUI for PIN changing is in place.  You can use the on-screen keyboard to unlock with arbitrary length should that ever get out of sync.

If you want to help with the remaining GUI bits let us know.

The initial phrog unlock after boot doesn't know about this yet so remember to hit submit there 🙃️.

@linuxnews will have to give it a try?! kde connect never once worked for me, could never detect my phone, a linux phone, even while on same wifi or when connected over BLE

@phoronix windows introduced hibernation support in 2000, 26 years ago, i find limux solely lacking in power saving optimizations, and they are not taking it seriously

I've had a copyright claim submitted over a few small Tesla clips in my latest video while talking about some of the sweet Roadster thruster footage. Obviously all fair use. How is it fair @youtubecreators that a baseless claim like this can be made by a company that has absolutely nothing to do with Tesla? All monetisation removed again for up to 30 days including shopping and I just need to take it until my dispute expires. Add to that I need to tick boxes in my dispute submission agreeing that
"I understand that filing fraudulent disputes may result in termination of my YouTube channel."

For creators this stuff scares them into being bullied into having their earnings taken away. It only needs a 2 second glance to see that the claim itself is fraudulent, so such claims should never make their way to a creator in the first place.

All the power is with the claimant, almost nothing with the creator. 🥺

Major US based ai platforms products openai chatgpt, anthropic claude and others put in place hourly, weekly token usage limits that make using these products a huge pain to use, it is clear that their demand far outstrips their server capacity and in my mind i would not use them and they arent ready for prime time
