Progress on securing our distribution against supply chain attacks: The Debian testing/trixie release on amd64 is now reproducible for over 95%, and counting. You can use the new debian-repro-status package to query the reproducibility status of your installed Debian packages. See reproduce.debian.net/ #debian #reproducible-builds

This goes without saying: If you have some money to spare, I would genuinely appreciate it. I am not getting paid a single dollar from the work I'm doing (I wish I did).

At the time of writing this post, the merge request for making the month view accessible is sitting at around 500 lines diff, but that diff will only get bigger and bigger. A good portion of that time is also spent with my eyes closed with a screen reader. It takes a lot of time and energy to understand how everything connects in GNOME Calendar and researching about accessibility in a calendar app.

Commodore OS Vision 3.0 Linux-based OS arrives to spruce up retro builds - You can finally update your Commodore 64x with an up-to-dat... - tomshardware.com/software/linu #operatingsystems #software #linux

@schmiddionmobile when rate limiting is happening while watching a video after a while the player does not detect that and switch to lower fps or lower resolutions, first it could drop from 60fps, to 30fps, if that doesnt work drop from 1080p to 480, and then 360 if it still stutters. Please add "stutter" detect and not only go up automatically but also drop back down, alternatively allow manual selection (similar to freetube)

On the way to the #KDE Plasma (Mobile) Sprint in Graz, and putting the final touches on the @openrailwaymap support in Itinerary's live view.

to me, it seems like it would have been news that Google stopped 30 million #ads for "misinformation" in 2023 but zero in 2024 blog.zgp.org/google-ads-shitsh (I guess misinformation has friends in high places now, and there was enough other Google news last week)

Solid furios 13.0.9 upgrade!
1. with pipewire decoder and other gnome/ gtk camera apps can now connect to built in flx1 camera and it works (still have to toggle camera on/off once prior to use at times so not fully debugged and switching back camera 1/2 and back not wired up correctly)
2. with phosh 0.46 and other updates feels like it runs more stable and polished when switching apps and its nice to have the lock screen wallpaper
3. android apps seem to scale more consistently

Reposting this video here from community member Hrdl.

This video demos the improved display controller driver which means goodbye artifacting and welcome to automatic redrawing on a per pixel basis. As seen in the video, the display runs at a higher (and stable) 84Hz refresh rate than the stock 80Hz thanks to some tuning.
