TIL of the Whisky War, a decades long land dispute on Hans Island between Canada and Denmark. Canada would plant a flag and leave a bottle of whisky, then Denmark would plant theirs and leave a bottle of schnapps. They split the island in 2022, creating a land border between Canada and Denmark.

For security and stability, many modern societies seem to be happy to give up their hard-earned freedom and rights.
Just finished Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.
One quote struck me, as is more relevant today than it was at the film's release:
In order to ensure our security and continuing stability, the Republic will be reorganized into the first Galactic
Empire, for a safe and secure society which I assure you will last for ten thousand years. (Palpatine)
With the Senate's applause, the Republic turned into an authoritarian regime.
4/12 films (re-)watched.
I think Episode III is still my favourite film of the prequel trilogy, but will see if I still feel the same after my rewatching it for the first time in years.
But I must admit, I'm not too fond of animated films, which might also play a role. Obi Wan was great in the film, though.👌
After watching Star Wars: The Clone Wars (the only Star Wars film I haven't seen yet), I conclude that I like the TV series of the same name much more.
But I realised that Anakin already uses the same lightsaber as he does as Darth Vader (but the blade will be in a different colour).
TIL despite its strong following thanks to the popularity of Back to the Future, the DMC DeLorean has a reputation for poor build quality and an unsatisfactory driving experience. In 2017, Time magazine included the DeLorean in its list of the 50 worst cars of all time.
