In the #TubeChallenge you must visit all stations of the #LondonUnderground network as quickly as possible. You are allowed to change stations by foot or other means of public transport. The current record is held by a group of eight teenage friends who visited the 272 stations in 18h 8m 13s.

In the Montparnasse derailment (22 October 1895), a train approached the station too fast and overran the buffer stop at the Gare Montparnasse terminus. It crashed through the wall and partly fell onto the Place de Rennes.

While all passengers survived, a woman in the street was killed in the incident.
