The progress bar in the software isn’t lying. When it says there are “11 minutes remaining” it means just that. Just ‘cuz you don’t know the “until what” isn’t the progress bar’s problem. Maybe there are 11 minutes remaining until the next 20 minutes. You don’t know. Why you gotta get mad and gaslight the progress bar into doubting its own progress?

The Christian fascists are telling you what the next phase is in rolling back human rights and installing a deeply genocidal fascist regime in America.

Clovis Bray quoted as saying the abuse is exaggerated, quite minor, and necessary for the greater good.

This is an excellent 30 min summary of the ages in the Destiny storyline: youtube.com/watch?v=hLUaeUCjNK should newer or (aspiring to start) players like to catch up ahead of Lightfall expansion next month (which will be big enough to be considered a whole new version of Destiny.)

@ddc0660 @InfiniteHench I'm dreading having strand forced upon the character. We'll see how I narrate that in my adventures vs campaign forcing its use for progression.

@ddc0660 @InfiniteHench In the roleplay for my light faithful Hunter I avoid Stasis the best I can. I was forced into it via the Beyond Light campaign but as soon as that was all done I've rarely touched it minus the occasional achievement. 😁

@svetzal On the flip side of too close: The space between keys below the number row feel too great for touch typing. They seem spaced for two finger hunt and peck typists. Lol

@svetzal Quote of the decade:

"As long as IT organizations remain a cost to produce a feature, reduction of that cost is direct action against the soul of the experience that might have been."

Chef's kiss! ❤️

@svetzal Haha that assumes anyone remembers what worked vs not in the past. Instead it changes continuously with different teams of people who are always starting over.

It's like humanity has no memory of itself nor its past great tools. It keeps burning the house down to make a new one and calls it "progress".

The longer I live through the iteration of software the more I'm amazed at how much islanded improvisation there is.

@svetzal My favourite curses these days are:

-Does nobody test anymore?

-Was there even a Product Owner, or just a feature checklist to complete?

@svetzal I'd say the same about hardware. Like this new keyboard I got by Microsoft. They put the Lock and Settings keys right above the backspace so that any passionate typing (including upset about MS web apps) that sends the pinky too high to correct a mistake, locks the damn login session.

@svetzal I've always judged software by its experience, or even abstracted as its character. What does it feel like to use, how upset or excited does it make you, does it seem to have a sense of itself where there's a predictable back and forth between inputs and responses.

The other night I was swearing up and down at the Microsoft O365 web app for the People section of Outlook lol. It's such hot trash (of an experience).

@GivMeCoffee Bwahaha! The solution to understanding the prism and human diversity is science in both cases. 😆

How can you be a #PinkFloyd fan and not realize where the rainbow came from? 😂
Also, really want this box set 😍
