@b0rk I think that "git rebase" means approximately this:
"Change the order of things in the git history so that that it becomes as if those other changes were done first and then my changes are done afterwards, instead of the other way around."
@b0rk the way I have used rebase has mostly been together with git pull, like this:
git pull --rebase
Many times that helped get out of some trouble I got into when somebody else had pushed changes after the last time I did git pull.
@UlrikeHahn @schoeppl I think it's not healthy that researchers rely so much on google. Google is too big and too dominant, they don't even have an incentive to provide a good service. And of course they can easily abuse their position to manipulate things for their own benefit.
It's hard to comprehend how bad the current Swedish government is:
- Actively collaborating with the founded-by-nazis "Sweden Democrats" party
- Zero respect for human rights
- Prime minister using ChatGPT on the job
This is supposedly some kind of "right-wing" government, but these things have nothing to do with right or left. The government is lacking common decency and respect for democracy and human rights, and they don't even think for themselves.
