I think many of them have not yet realised that, no.
I'm afraid also that many of them don't care, which is rather frightening.
It's really difficult to understand what is happening in the world right now, but I think you're right that the US has lost all credibility and it will not be able to recover. 😕

Has everyone in the US realised that because of Republican voters, their country has just lost all the international stature and credibility it has amassed since their ancestors entered World War I? It doesn't matter who wins the next presidential election. The one after that may still deliver another insane Republican populist who is fun to watch on TV. We simply can't trust that country's citizens any more.

It's funny how they later forget him on some planet and he then waits there until the end of the universe, and then of course complains bitterly about it. 😆

@Karinkvittrar jag har stött på tisdagar förut, de kan verka skrämmande och överväldigande först men det finns hopp: en välplacerad frukost kan få tisdagen ur balans tidigt. Går man sen på offensiven går det att komma förbi den ganska enkelt.

@mastodonmigration yes I think this will be a problem for the US in the future. They have until now been seen as a reliable partner; if you bought something from the US you could rely on that not suddently disappearing. A reputation that has been built over many decades, even centuries, is now quickly being destroyed.
The damage is done, even if Trump goes away the rest of the world now knows that the US can at any moment elect another unhinged maniac president. The US can no longer be trusted.
