På väg hem efter att tillsammans med @helenaviking hållit en föreläsning och workshop om alternativ till Big Tech sociala medier som kamraterna @Marianne_Jarl och @UlfBrandstrom tillsammans med andra vänsterpartister anordnat i Skarpnäck kulturhus.
Så peppigt med sånt engagemang och nyfikenhet att lära sig nya plattformar!

I don't agree with everything in the article, but, speaking as a political candidate (at least until 2025-03-07 I am, anyway 😀), I am aware that politicians sometimes call the press “the Enemy of the People”. I love a Free Press almost as much as I love Free Software. If you agree with *everything* in a press article, it's probably not good journalism.

Jag tror att för att förstå det behöver man först ha klart för sig att för regeringen+SD är det ett väldigt viktigt mål att göra Sverige till ett dåligt land att invandra till. Det viktigaste av allt är att detta signaleras tydligt: om du väljer att komma till Sverige kommer du att behandlas som skit. För att avskräcka framtida invandrare alltså, så att de inte kommer hit.
Om man har rasism som grund för sin politik är det här helt logiskt.

@Jonas_Bostrom det är väl mycket socker i så det håller sig säkert en evighet. Kanska kan vara läge att köpa på sig stora mängder att ha med sig nere i bunkern sen när atomvintern kommer.

DDG on Android uses Blink which is Chromium, not WebKit:
"the browser engine [used in DDG browser] is Blink on Android and Windows, and WebKit on iOS and macOS"
There seems to be no GNU/Linux version.
If I understand correctly, the only way to use DDG browser and be free is to run it on a free version of Android, but then it's using chromium instead of webkit.

On DDG I think it's not proper FOSS, it's some kind of "freeware".
Regarding other webkit-based browsers, the main one of course is Safari which is also not FOSS. The closest one to being and usable while also being FOSS I think is GNOME Web, formerly Epiphany. But that one is just not good enough, I think it lacks some "must have" features.
To summarize, webkit-based browsers are either not FOSS, or too far from being usable.
Should I stay or should I go?
