Anonymity is important.

This is a piece of news from Swedish public service radio today, about an org. protecting children's rights, it's called BRIS meaning "the rights of children in society". BRIS have received an increasing number of phone calls from children talking about crime, like kids being pressured by criminal gangs and such. They say that phone call anonymity is important for kids to dare to make the call.

Looking forward to further arrests, like knife manufacturers being arrested for failure to prevent criminal use of knives, and car manufacturers being arrested for failure to prevent criminal use of cars. Oh wait, I'm pretty sure criminals also eat food, then we should arrest food producers as well, they should no longer get away with aiding criminals in this way. Plenty of people to arrest in this brave new world!

Why not leave Android behind and move over to #LinuxMobile with #phosh where you are free from Google? It's a breath of fresh air, already works great and gets better all the time. Easy to rebuild from source.

If the municipality has employees who are cybercriminals and drug dealers, then maybe they should stop hiring criminals.

I think banning something because "it can be used by criminals" is stupid, generally. Criminals breathe air, so air should be bammed? Criminals eat food, so food is bad too?

@kurtseifried I might dual-boot or multi-boot, but Windows is not going to be one of the OSs.

Windows is malware, under no circumstances would I want that on my computer.

@sudaksis many times it's that a person I follow boosts a post by someone, then I see that and maybe I start following that someone.

@samuel ja det är väldigt bra om fler går från att tänka "alla måste vara på den här plattformen så det är inget att fundera över" till att istället tänka "borde jag vara på den här plattformen?", att de tänker tanken att det är ett val de gör och att det finns konsekvenser av det valet. Redan att de tänker tanken är väldigt bra jämfört med att inte ens reflektera över saken.

@nopatience I heard this discussed in this podcast https://www.monerotalk.live/live-at-defcon29-w-guillermo-christensen (from 2021) where they say one thing hindering the use of Monero for ransomware payments is a lack of liquidity, in other words difficulty to get hold of a very large amount of Monero in a short amount of time. No idea if that's true, and it might have changed since then. #monero

@samuel bra att Anne Ramberg svarat något, men att Linkedin skulle vara "en utmärkt plattform" håller jag inte med om.

Det finns väl ingen särskilt spännande skillnad mellan Twitter ("X") och Linkedin, det råkar bara vara någon annan som äger plattformen för tillfället, och det råkar för tillfället vara lite andra regler kanske, men användaren är fortfarande ägd på samma sätt, och en central aktör (inte demokratisk) har makten över plattformen och reglerna där. Folk borde lämna Linkedin också.
