But when you say something publicly like that, about a certain person, that seems like bullying.
As long as your target is a company, or an organization, or a phenomenon, a thing, whatever, there is no problem. But when it's a person, that is different.
If you want to say things about individuals, focus on saying positive things about people you like, instead of being negative about a specific person.
Do you understand what I mean?

@surtvittvin aha men det finns säkert en inställning då. Kan vara dels i operativsystemet på nåt vis, "ge den här appen/programmet tlilåtelse att skicka notiser", och sen kan det vara någon inställning inne i själva appen/programmet också.
Vad heter programmet eller appen du använder, och vilket operativsystem är det?
@Beclfc can't decide. I do like some of them. I like Douglas Adams for example, very much. But he's not around anymore, and the 100 prime ministers the last few years, none of them, no, not much.

Det blir en hackträff nu på lördag den 26 augusti i samarbete med Studiefrämjandet. Vi har inte bestämt något särskilt tema denna gång, men förslag emottages gärna. Det finns också utrymme för att hålla föredrag i något ämne vilket brukar vara uppskattat.
Vi öppnar dörrarna klockan 10 och håller öppet till klockan 15.

True, I have seen it a lot here, it's like a "cancel-culture" type of phenomenon. But that is stupid and needs to change, and I think the proper way to make that change is to interact with people here and explain things.

By the way I am glad to find you here, it has bothered me a lot that Monero folks seem so attached to Twitter (or whatever its name is now). That is a centralized platform and being dependent on that seems to go against everything that Monero is about, I mean censorship resistance and so on. Relying so much on Twitter means being vulnerable to censorship. Same with Github.
Are there others from the Monero crowd here (in the fediverse)?
I think this discussion boils down to the following two things which people may want:
(1) ability to build everything from source
(2) ability to enforce memory-safety
In my own opinion, (1) is critical, it is what FOSS is all about, while (2) is more a nice-to-have kind of thing. I would never sacrifice (1) to get (2).
People who like Rust sometimes seem to focus on (2) so much that they are willing to throw (1) under the bus. That's not good.
@stoicswe@mastodon.social removing an app may seem like a small thing, but in a way it can represent a huge change, in terms of how society works, where power lies and so on.
If someone would try to pinpoint the moment when the world changed, an app removal from a phone might be that moment 🙂
