@hehemrin one way to handle all this is to have two phones, one with a free OS which you strive to use for everything you can and use more and more, and another one that is only for the few things that you think only work for Apple/Google. Turn that off most of the time and only pick it out when you really have to, and strive to use it as seldom as possible. Always ask for ways to use your free phone instead, so that you contribute to the growth and demand for free alternatives.
