@kkremitzki @FreeCAD If the videos do not permit reupload, but are already on a PeerTube instance, I believe you can just federate with that instance and make their videos visible on your instance without uploading them yourself.

@itsfoss The problem with replacing YT is different than with replacing let's say Twitter. Twitter's strength is its large userbase and that's it. Meanwhile YT's strengths are: large userbase, plethora of existing content, and great monetization opportunities. It's hard to even challenge that without being a company. I think the best solution would be to set up something like Mozilla - a nonprofit that owns a company.

@auschwitzmuseum Politicians often like to structure the state and write laws in the way that makes it easier for them to do their job. We should demand that our laws and design of the state considers safety more important than convenience. A takeover by people believing in evil ideologies can happen again. We must make it as hard for them as possible.
