@Faket @EUCommission Many voters already hate the push toward electric cars. They vote for extremist parties as a form of protest. If mainstream politicians were to push for eliminating cars altogether, EU members would quickly switch from being centrist democracies to being extremist quasi-dictatorships.

@gunstick @EUCommission There is no killswitch, but US could achieve the same goal by refusing to provide spare parts, ammunition, generation of new encryption keys, and other forms of support. Especially air forces would be very vulnerable to this.

@gpilz @EUCommission As far as I know, thanks to public healthcare, we spend less money on healthcare than the US, not more. US system with layers upon layers of intermediaries is costly and inefficient.

@Gurre @noelreports Russians are decreasing their use of armored vehicles because their stocks are dwindling. They are also building two new armies, so plenty of vehicles were diverted there.

If you look at personnel losses, 1150 is still a lot.

@eighthave @kriom Most of the time language will be heavily correlated with IP address, so I'm not sure how much sense it makes to hide it when you can deduce it from IP.

@itsfoss They can't install it. But when I gave people devices with Linux on it, they were perfectly happy. They only use Firefox and LibreOffice anyway.
