Dobre wieści z Wieliczki. Policja zatrzymała kilku BLIKowców, bo stali przy bankomacie. Jedną bandą zarządzał 13-latek, a członkowie mieli 14 lat. Inny, starszy, zakładał na akcje maskę a w mieszkaniu miał narkotyki. Bardzo ładnie.

2/3 ... Member States are now taking advantage of these weak bans to push for dangerous laws at a national level. This includes legalising #MassSurveillance through Remote Biometric Identification (RBI) systems 🙅‍♂️

🇧🇪 This is happening at the very heart of the EU - Belgium is proposing a full copy paste of the AI Act exceptions to the RBI ban!

This is exactly we warned about when the #AIAct passed - it will lead to legalisation of massive #HumanRights violations ⤵️ edri.org/our-work/eu-ai-act-fa

@noelreports I suspect that any move by Belarus aimed at distancing itself from Russia will be considered "a threat to its sovereignty".

Reports of DOGE staff obtaining “extraordinary access” to databases holding sensitive personal information about millions of Americans marks a “huge departure from privacy & security norms,” EFF’s @Adam_D_Schwartz told @Vox. "EFF is deeply concerned." vox.com/politics/398366/musk-d

@eff @Adam_D_Schwartz @Vox Yet another lesson about why private and public entities should hold as little data about you as possible.

@gabrielesvelto @noelreports Better detection would also be my guess.

For a while Russians held the edge in detection, as Ukraine was unable to destroy Russian recon drones. This resulted in plenty of artillery and other Ukrainian losses. Eventually Ukraine managed to fix it with EW improvements and anti-drone drones. I hope Ukrainians are now playing the Uno reverse card.

@kuba @zaufanatrzeciastrona Czyli przestępcy powinni prowadzić kampanie phishingowe podszywające się pod spam, wtedy będą niewidzialni dla CERTu. :D

@EUCommission Right now we're in a hurry to rearm, but perhaps in the future EU should consider mandating that weapons bought by EU members must be manufactured in EU? It would decrease our dependency on third parties. US already does it and it works for them, so why not us?

Of course we would need a few exceptions, the most obvious one being wartime.

@Paul_Harts @auschwitzmuseum If it was merely about robbery, the wealth would have simply been forcefully confiscated. Most of all, it was about racism - Nazis not only considered Jews to be subhumans, but also an insidious enemy and the cause of numerous problems in society. The mass murder wasn't a side effect. It was a goal.

@Linuxiarze Od razu skojarzyło mi się z Phabricatorem. Okazuje się, że Phabricator nie jest już rozwijany, a Phorge to jego fork i następca. Dobrze wiedzieć.

TL;DR: Ukraine's General Staff reports that Russian aviation hit an internat in Sudzha with a KAB (guided bomb); dozens of civilians were inside. So far 4 bodies found; medical aid administered to 84 civilians, 4 in critical condition.

@itsfoss I wonder if it would work if you linked your Mastodon toots instead of your website?

@LeamValley @noelreports Star doesn't mean you like the event, but that you like the fact that someone wrote about the event. Boosting means "other people need to see this".

@noelreports Well, you are an account that posts information. On corporate socials, people react to make the algorithm boost you. Mastodon has no algorithm and thus people feel no need to add generic sad comments on sad posts, cheers on happy posts, etc. They just read and move on.

Since you are posting the same news on all social media, why not simply automate posting? A bridge could work, but there are also apps that help post to multiple services. They could make your life easier.

@hajovonta @skolima @urwumpe @noelreports It is stupid too because it would both increase dependence on a hostile state and fund its rearmament.
