@quilnux @purism A tool that allows to run a complete Android system inside a Linux Container, using Wayland window as its screen. You can see it in action here: social.librem.one/@dos/1089185

@etam This way you end up with the same packages that are going to hit PureOS and what I'll be able to somehow support and help with. A third-party Debian repo may or may not be compatible, could cause troubles with future updates etc.

I guess that means that now it works with hardware acceleration? :)

@dos great, waydroid works just fine on L5 now, thanks!

@Sebastian Krzyszkowiak I'd love to just hold my Librem5. But I'm still waiting, after almost 3 years.

@Sebastian Krzyszkowiak Ok, that looks promising.

Frustrating typo btw: phones ordered in July 2019 are to be shipped in november 2020, according to the list

@hans That's not a typo, that's one 2019 order that actually got shipped in Nov 2020, possibly by mistake.

@dos @purism Can I also run this thing on my ? That would be cool!

@elshid @purism Haven't tried myself, but it should work! Just replace all "arm64" with "amd64" in installation instructions :)
