Read about these shitsacks first.

These people would see me and my friends dead.

For those of you still following us, we would like to express our solidarity with #dropkiwifarms.

In 2019 they disrupted the #glimpse Matrix channel, then they targeted individual contributors, some of whom are still hiding and/or have threads on them today.

Outside of our own project, Kiwi Farms has driven their political enemies from their homes, off the Internet, and in some cases to suicide. We will all be safer when that website is finally gone.

Just had a look at and they don't even use Gitea! They use GitHub!! The screenshot on their homepage looks like GitHub with the icon switched. What's the point?

The cost of cars is very high and our governments pump billions of dollars making people buy and maintain these expensive machines.

What a legend.

Plese boost for reach: Why have a single person, or even a team, working on accessibility? In an organization, in a company, in a dev team, in any collective that works on software, media, books, art... Everyone should be focused on accessibility in anything they create for others. If you are, then everyone else has a better time! Maybe someone wants to read a picture, or hear a book, or relax their eyes while doing computer work. It helps *everyone* when everyone is included. #a11y

I think contemporary development culture has a CI-fetishization problem and this should be talked about a lot more.

I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion or just not interesting to a lot of people (at least I don't see it pop up much in my feeds for whatever reasons), but the rising amount of commit-triggered senseless cloud computation I see in recent years is really worrisome to me. I can appreciate the utility of a thoughtful automated process that thoroughly checks an entire release before it rolls out on big critical infrastructure, but what I see around me is so often overblown pseudo-testing that provisions entire serverfarms to crunch numbers for half an hour everytime any dev at an org commits as a much as a fix for a typo on some random work-in-progress branch. In the face of our existential climate emergency I can only consider this practice completely mindless, and complete madness. We can not keep doing this.

Please boost for reach. So, anyone that is working on FOSS projects like web apps, sites, Linux apps, desktop environments, or other user interfaces, please let me know if you want them tested for accessibility. I can do both CLI, web, and GUI testing, and app testing on Android. I'm running Debian (on a ChromeBook but that's not too important), so just give me the name of the package, or the URL of the site or app. I can also do Flatpak!

@dean Wow. Yeah the Github issues should speak louder than the accessibility statement.

As if there was no climate crisis. 🌍🔥✈️

Our regular mid-week look at global air traffic. Currently 18,600 flights in the air.

Last Wednesday we tracked an all time high 232,483 flights. It is likely today’s traffic will top that. Follow flights live at

The word 'homeowner' has the word 'meow' in it.
Good luck pronouncing it correctly ever again.

i read a thing recently that blew my mind a little.
went something like:

people can imagine time travel to the past and one little act making massive differences in the timeline

but in their present they think even the greatest effort they can put in will not make any difference to the future

I found a new game. Three tries to locate the daily satellite view on an OpenStreetMap based map.
🗺️ Daily Challenge 5.6.2022
TOTAL POINTS 91/100 (944,63km off, 0m search radius)
I also enjoy planing worldle and contributing to OSM, so it's up my alley.

I like how the election ended up being about climate change but I wonder how the government could withstand the force from the fossil fuel giants and News Corp?
