TIL #postmarketOS supports multi-language, e.g. Traditional Chinese.
Jusr set LANG in /etc/environment.
Plus #Waydroid Android 11 image works well on Xiaomi Poco F1. But it must be installed manually because Waydroid pmOS package is outdated.

@elias Nah still no touching input.
The only way to type Chinese is using Google input tool in Chromium.

@ivon852 @elias Seeing you're using Phosh, I believe I saw toots of @agx earlier working on input that allows characters from east-Asian languages. Not sure what came of that.

@ivon852 @bart supports as well. It's a matter of configuration and adding a proper layout (and then work from there to fix the remaining issues outlined in ).

It seems uim is not packaged on alpine? Otherwise I would be happy to add it to gitlab.gnome.org/guidog/phosh- so we could work from there.

@ivon852 @bart

Alternatively one could write an input method that talks to maliit's server or to talk to fcitx or ibus. I'd go the uim route first though as this allows to figure out the layouts, etc.

@agx @ivon852 I'm not a GNOME/Phosh guy (I use and package #Plasma myself) so you'll have to discuss it with the GNOME people in #postmarketOS
