Weird how "modern" has come to mean "measurably worse in almost every metric" within the scope of software

@herag I'm not going to lie, I've been tempted to switch back to Windows a few times when I've had to use it for work. But then a problem crops up and I remember why I use Linux. Because that way, when a problem comes up, I can actually fix the problems.

I've heard the phrase "Linux is free if you don't value your time" but in my experience, all of the time I've spent on Linux has a real substantial ROI compared to the time I spend on Windows.

Revision 2 of the PinePhone keyboard, this one is actually nice to type on :D

Set up Tailscale (mesh VPN) recently. Super easy! It allowed me to take my Synology off the public internet, yet still sync photos to it from my phone, and without having to run a VPN server and worry about keys and firewalls and stuff. Everything is protected via my GitHub login with MFA required. And all on the free plan... I'm a happy customer. 😊

You'll need PCem v16 to run it (https://pcem-emulator.co.uk/)

Just place the cfg file into PCem's configs folder, and the disk image file into your hdd folder, and configure the machine to use the hdd image.
