Wanting to use ActivityPub to federate software forges is one of the stupidest examples of chasing shiny things which is coming out of the free software community right now

In no way is AP actually well-suited to the problem, and in fact the problem is *already solved*, but AP is trendy and hip so they're doing it anyway

Wow, so @forgefed is making progress? I mean, it would probably be better for everyone to standardize on an email based workflow, but surely *some* standardization and interoperability is better than none!
