Hey Fedi (and especially people like @ManjaroARM and @linmob), I have a new question for you!

I'm looking for a way to (somewhat) separate system installation and user account configuration on #Linux.

I would want to have something like in the preinstalled #KDE images on #Pinephone, where you can set your username and password upon first boot.
Use case is preinstalling Linux on a laptop while letting the user configure their account themselves upon first boot.

#FediQuestion #AskFedi

Alright, thanks to @ManjaroARM I now know the relevant keyword for what I want to do : having user configuration on first boot is done via an install in OEM mode! (for "original equipment manufacturer")

That enabled me to find out that some #Linux distributions already allow that:
- Fedora is apparently OEM by default now dev.to/gevera/installing-fedor
- Ubuntu doc.ubuntu-fr.org/oem
- LinuxMint linuxmint-installation-guide.r
