#geary email client redesign for mobile has begun via @purism #gnome #email

I like Geary on the desktop, except for its auto opening the first email in Inbox by default.

Sometimes the first mail is a long thread which I don't want to touch. It will mark them as read whereas I want to leave that unread and read it later. I think it is wrong for an app to decide which mail to open without giving me choice. It should not open any mail by default.

Another thing I hate about Geary is how annoying it is to start. I think it try to sync using foreground thread and when it takes a long time to sync mails, you can't search and many times it just hangs trying to sync mails and you have to close and open it again.

@praveen @purism yeah. I have faced this issue. I wish there was a sync button.
