I am stuck with Android for now as my company uses the Google Apps Device Policy for securing corporate data. I can't access my work mail/calendar/chat/docs etc. otherwise.

from what I understand, with google apps for work/companies, google can't access and utilize the data like they do for personal/consumers. the data is stored encrypted on their servers. basically we pay them to retain our privacy while they can provide security on the enterprise level. so it's quite different from personal use of Google services.

my pleasure :) I didn't know any better previously either, then I noticed that search results are different if I use the work profile, plus there are no ads. They also have to comply with much stricter policies and requirements..
