Now I have used /e/ OS as my daily driver for my mobile phone for a few weeks. It is a free open source software based on the open Android, from e.foundation. I replaced the original Google-Android + Samsung addons with /e/. It works generally well!

@hehemrin I'm actually thinking of giving it a good go on my old #GalaxyS9 phone (which I still have after upgrading to an S22). What's the process like, to install?

@torspedia
I also installed on a S9. They have an "easy installer" sw for some models, S9 one of them. I had some issues to get the installer to work, failed for me on Debian, on Windows but worked well on macOS. Step by step in the tool. I did not check the log for reasons. Only available as snap for linux, if you are not more advanced. Should also be possible to install w/o easy installer. Good luck!

@torspedia On Debian, the Easy installer never detected the phone, for unknown reason. I had not used snap before, so I had to install that first, if it may have been something with snap configuration, I don't know.
