Karlender has done what Calendar has yet to do: have adaptive interface scaling! Gone are the days of having to mess around with app patches, Karlender does all you could want from a calendar app. Set and manage events, tell them to repeat and sync all your upcoming meetings with any Cal-DAV service. Now you can forget your friend's birthdays from the comfort of your mobile Linux devices!
You can get the app on Flathub here: https://flathub.org/apps/details/codes.loers.Karlender

The downstream version of gnome-calendar used in PureOS and some other mobile distros can sync with a nextcloud instance by setting it up via gnome online accounts.
The issue is gnome online accounts not supporting other caldav.
@joao @elias hey joao correct, i use the evolution plugin, install evolution setup caldav cardav uninstall evolution, while plugin remains and synching works on L5 for contacts, karlender doesnt use the evolution plugin i dont think, karlender is simple, responsive and overall love it, just doesnt yet sync, maybe if it used the evolution plugin instead ?!

CalDAV/CardDAV setup
Base URL: /remote.php/dav (for instance: example.com/nextcloud/remote.php/dav)
