Today for the first time in 23 years in which I continuously had one, I am not traveling with my Bahncard card. Now using the "Bahncard Ersatzdokument" as I am not using their proprietary app. The replacement document is a PDF with a QR code.

Beside the #FreeSoftware apps Oeffi and Transportr the website bahn.expert is really helpful for info about updated platforms and where on the platform your wagon will be located.

@kirschner For phones there's : mobile.schmidhuberj.de/railway

Maybe it would be useful if the apps could display the QR Code?

@agx Thank you. Yes, that would be great.

Do you know if there are efforts to also package that for desktop distributions?

@agx @kirschner There's even more, see linuxphoneapps.org/categories/

The most noteworthy one (aside from Railway) is the excellent KDE Itinerary, in which you can already today store your digital BahnCard. And: Itinerary is also available for Android!
