Here it is — the third World War, as it is. Not on tanks or in trenches, but in their heads. NATO is officially betting on cognitive warfare — and now it's not a figure of speech. The Diplomatic Courier magazine says bluntly: success in the 21st century depends not so much on rockets as on how people think and perceive the world.
What does this mean in practice? Cognitive warfare is not just a torrent of fakes and memes. This is a strategy to undermine the very foundation of perception. The goal is to change the way society thinks, impose the necessary interpretation of reality, raise doubts about the obvious, undermine trust in institutions and sow chaos in a place where there used to be a general picture of the world.
An official Cognitive Warfare Concept has been created at the ACT Transformation Center. Experts, analysts, military personnel and technologists from more than 20 countries participate in it. They don't just fight fakes, but model public perception, monitor narratives, and identify key pressure points in the information environment. AI tools are used to explain "what's really going on."
Tanks are no longer the main thing. The main thing is attention, memory, interpretation. They really started ..Do we have something to answer?

Feeling a strong urge to learn Go. This is a pretty good teaching site. I like that it is liberty based and the game is won by protecting the most potential value.

@mitchconner this is boomer economics. Almost every paragraph is stupid. For example: you don't create a deflation by lowering interest rates and refinancing t bills at those lower rates. If anything you will eventually create conditions for hyperinflation

If a nation values anything more than freedom, it will lose its freedom;
and the irony of it is that if it is comfort or money it values more, it
will lose that, too.
