As I was saying last year, they are making blockchain-based immunity passports (using DIDs).

The values were changed to a fake person (Taylor Swift) but you can see how it looks. It uses ECDSA for instance.

One interesting thing about those vaccination passports is that they don't provide a public key to verify the signature. That means they rely on a centralized "authority".

@verretor @verretor ive been looking into this... theres a json.certificate in the vax qr codes here.. The rest of the field is unreadable (encrypted?)

@vbhide @verretor The screenshot has been modified so the values are fake but we can more or less guess what is going on.

@verretor @verretor the qr ive been working on is simply unreadable. I could send it across if ur interested

@verretor @verretor cant dm for some reason, give me an email i can send to

@vbhide @verretor I'm also unable to read it. Possibly some encoding that we don't know of.

@verretor @verretor if its just an encoding issue we should be able to crack it

@verretor @verretor thanks just checked. Ive used zbar but didnt work, will take a look at your attachment later

@vbhide @verretor There's a bit of plain text like "QR-CODE:PK" and "certificate.json" (twice).

The rest is gibberish but could just be some weird encoding.
@vbhide @verretor I'm probably a moron:

$ file -i decoded
decoded: application/octet-stream; charset=binary

@verretor @verretor tbh i wont be surprised if the qr is total theatre and doesnt yeild anything even to the officer checking it.
